Economic Substance Reporting
According to Economic Substance Act, 2019 (“The Act”) & Guidelines G-CD-NO.3.1 of 2020, Belize introduces economic substance requirements for any “entity” carrying on “relevant activity” (Banking, Insurance, Shipping, Fund Management, Financing & Leasing, Headquarters, Distribution and Service Centre, Holding Company).
To comply with Economic Substance reporting, all IBCs must obtain a Tax Identification Number ("TIN") from the Registry and complete the appropriate Economic Substance Form.
